A REJUVENATED KENNEDY DRIVE Tonight Skatin' Place cameras will take you to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park where there is a major renovation going on. Kennedy Drive in Golden Gate Park is being repaved for the first time in 26 years. 1.5 miles of black ice asphalt will rejuvenate skating and bring new meaning to the term "recreational asphalt". Anyone that uses the closed roads for fun and fitness should plan to bee at the grand opening ceremonies on Dec. 10, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. |
SAN FRANCISCO "TURKEY COPS" These members of the San Francisco Police Department are grinning like the cat that caught the mouse. Why were the SFPD out in the Sunnydale Housing Projects on this Thanksgiving holiday? Channel 7 wasn't there, Channel 5, 4, 2, and 11 was nowhere in site. Skatin' Place cameras were there and we'll show you what was up with that and take you door to door in through one of San Francisco's rough neighborhoods. |

BURNING
MAN 2006 It's already time to begin planning for Burning Man 2007. Before we do, we need to do a recap of what went down at the Black Rock Roller Disco at Burning Man 2006. We watched the sun come up 6 days in a row with people skating all night long. The event was so great that we have to piece it out to you a little at a time. Here is your first installment. |
ALL GIRL ROLLER DERBY AT BURNING MAN That's Right folks. You will witness the very first ever all girl roller derby game to ever take place art Burning Man. The Black Rock Derby Girls made a awesome challenge to the girls at the Thunderdome, but those big, bad Thunderdome chicks didn't have the intestinal fortitude to live up to the challenge. Maybe they can be ready for 2007. |

HANNA That's right, Daryl Hanna was at Burning Man 2006 and she stopped by the Black Rock Roller Disco to get her skate groove on. She didn't just stop by and skate.
